OZ Minerals Projects

OZ Minerals Limited owns 100% of the Prominent Hill copper-gold project located 650 kilometres north west of Adelaide, 130 kilometres north west of BHP Billiton’s Olympic Dam and 130 kilometres south east of the town of Coober Pedy in the Gawler Craton of South Australia.

They also own 100% of the Carrapateena copper-gold project, located in central South Australia on the eastern margin of the Gawler Craton. 130 kilometres from Port Augusta, 100 kilometres south east of BHP Billiton's Olympic Dam operation and 250 kilometres south east of their Prominent Hill operation.

BHP Billiton Olympic Dam Project

BHP Billiton is seeking the approval of the Australian, South Australian and Northern Territory governments for a significant expansion of its existing mining and processing operation at Olympic Dam in northern South Australia.

Located 560km north of Adelaide, South Australia, Olympic Dam is a multi-mineral ore body. It is the world's fourth largest copper and gold deposit and the largest known uranium deposit. It also contains significant quantities of silver.
